This painting’s Japanese title is the same as the English title, and it is rare for my works. I thought up a subject of the artwork when I was developing an idea for a new painting to exhibit at Sunaba Gallery‘s group exhibition “Tangled” in 2017. In my mind, the exhibition’s title got entangled with “A Trip to the Moon”, the English title of Georges Melies’ silent film Le Voyage dans la Lune (1902).
